    OTA ClearQAM encryption update

Strange, I am also in Cox South. AMC analog 57 is still there for me. Probably just a matter of time now.

    Tivo Bolt

I was considering Tivo for a while but the original cost & their fees always stopped me. So now i am stuck with Cox DVR & OTA ,no PVR for OTA as I have read too many frustrating stories about flaky and buggy software. If I did, I would probably go for the iView 3500STBII, it is dirt cheap now...

Heroes & Icons starting on 13.4 KCOP LA

I was not aware that KTTV & KCOP shared transmitters. KTTV-SD is indeed thankfully gone.

Are the OTA stations on continually, or sometimes down?

OTA receptions vary greatly depending on atmospheric conditions. This is what you are describing. Therefore reception on certain channels can be highly unpredictable, even from one frequency to the next coming from the same transmitter. VHF and UHF waves propagate differently as well...

    XHDTV Transmitter Location

------------------------ Hey Richard, Based on what I experience with my rotor, it seems that XHDTV 49.1 & MundoFox 49.2 radiate in a very directional fashion. See if the link below helps to achieve the proper orientation...

    JapanTV in clear

I am not sure why but JapanTV on ch. 400 is in clear. Now, if I could only speak Japanese.... [hr] And the reason is: http://www.rapidtvnews.com/index.php/24789/tv-japan-looks-to-boost-u-s-viewership-with-free-preview.html

    TWC SportsNet, Lakers looking dim

Listings about TWC Sportnets have been removed from both Cox guide (65/1065 in OC Irvine) and from link posted above. I think they were confident they'd reach an agreement by the weekend but it did not materialize.

beIN Sports USA HD, TWC Sports Net HD?

I wish it were that easy! :)

beIN Sports USA HD, TWC Sports Net HD?

I will second that and I have emailed that request to Cox. Now that GOLTV no longer carries La Liga & Serie A, it no longer makes sense to carry it. beIN is definetly the one to carry now. I won't hold my breath though since COX does not even carry Fox Soccer Plus (TWC does) but one can hope.

    TRIO/Slo-Mo - ATTN: JOSHUARAT

I am able to do frame by frame forward by pressing PLAY twice within a second or two. Don't know about frame reverse. Hope this works for you. [hr]

    SportsZone

Hello, any timeframe when channel 998 SportsZone will return to normal? Right now it still reflects channels for Olympic coverage. Thanks

    Olympics Programming

I receive XHAS on 33.1 in 1080i over the air from Normal Heights. It has a subchannel in standard def of LATV (Latin TV) on 33.2. My antenna needs to be pointing towards TJ since that is where the feed originates.
