I have a Cisco 8640, I got it in July 2010. What's newer and available now? I'd like more storage (maybe 1 TB) and more tuners (maybe 6 tuners vs. 2 tuners I have now).
No problems with current box, just doing am inquiry.
Is anybody at TWC-SD paying attention to station issues? Both KUSI (channel 9) and KPBS (channel 11) are having long running issues (several days worth) of poor images and constant screen break ups.
I'm not a viewer of those channels, but it is annoying to see when I happen to pass by those...
I can tell you that if you have the TWC box, you're fine. All my recordings correctly morphed to the new channels.
I used to use channel 707 (KNSD-HD) as the power-on channel, but that doesn't exist anymore, so I now use 7 but it still shows up on my TV as the HD version. Glad I kept the new...
I will have to check on the new channel lineup when i get home from work today. Hope my scheduled programming isn't too screwed up. Summer programming is coming soon and I don't want to miss them.
As for the HD channel by default when selecting the SD channel (like hitting 7 for KNSD and...
Reminder. FSSD goes active March 30. BTW, no Padres game that day on the channel (they may show the pre-game opening day ceremonies). The game itself starts at 5:00 PM on ESPN (national game of the week).
I did a reboot to fix the time issues. Afterward it looked OK (guide date and times matched up to clock), but after a few minutes my box became non-responsive to remote button pushes and suddenly rebooted again.
And presto I'm back to out-of-sync with the guide (the system is now +8 hours...
The reboot screwed up the time and date info on my DVR. It looks ('looks' being the key word) OK now, but the time is off by a couple of hours according to the diagnostic page (actual time around 3:30 AM, current time says 12:30 PM). Any easy way to fix that?
FYI, I didn't lose any...
It depends, if you already had AT&T for Internet (their old AT&T/Yahoo/DSL package), upgrading helps. I just got mine upgraded and I still have the same e-mail address, got 18 meg DL/1.5 meg UL speed and a new modem/router. Got a special for a year for $26.95/month.
What's the way to check the version number? I did the 'hold select until mail icon flashes then press up key' thing. It shows diagnostics, but no easy way to see the version info.
I did see something where it had 5.20_9 'loaded' and 6.00_19 'not loaded'. (or something close to that)
I don't know if anybody saw this, but TWC is now the *only* San Diego provider not carrying Fox Sports San Diego. That's right, Dish signed an agreement to carry it.
