Last April at the NAB convention in Las Vegas it was announced 40 U.S. television markets would see ATSC 3.0 stations launched by the end of 2020. I see this has been repeated this week at CES. San Diego is listed in the "second wave" of markets in 2020.

I have not found any details of what is planned for ATSC 3.0 in San Diego. I don't expect much. Maybe using one of the lower power stations for ATSC 3.0. Just guessing here. Being that KGTV is presently simulcasting on KZSD-LD (channel 20), maybe they will convert that to ATSC 3.0. Does anyone have any info about plans for ATSC 3.0 in San Diego.
