Current TWC Internet Speeds

I do agree that congestion is caused by peak hours, but channel bonding does help mitigate it. More channels you can bond, the better.

A friend 10 houses away (with a 4161) said he rebooted his modem and router and is getting 86 down and 11 up. So far no speed increase on my CM500.

I read on a few other blogs that the highest speed Maxx may not arrive in San Diego until very late 2016. And we know people with 6141's are getting speeds of 56Mbps. Any one know of current speeds with a 6121? Are they getting 56+/-?

SB6121 is limited to 50/5 so maxx would be 56/5 or 62/5 depending on the over provisioning. DSLreports poster said MAXX might start a in a few months from now and some say employees are testing it already. MAXX may very well be later this year depending on the rollout. Different areas will get it before others.

Thanks. I replaced my SB6121 months ago with a CM500 waiting for the Maxx roll out. The CM500 gets 36Mbps. With Maxx delayed, I probably will re-install the 6121 to at least get 56/5 like others get with their 6141. And I am still paying the extra $20 a month for 30/5. So with the 6121, I should be able to save the $20 a month and get higher speeds to boot.

On standard in 92127 and still 8x4 bonding on a SB6183. Now if only I get the Ultimate then I could get up to 200 mbps. TWC is testing 200 mbps on 8x4 bonding in some areas, so it is possible for a 6141 to get that speeds, but 200 mbps on 8x4 is only being offered on 16x4 modems like the SB6183.

Located in 92014 (Del Mar) - So completely by accident this morning I reset my SB6183 (relocating power adapters) and since it came back up I'm now getting 100MBs Down / 20MBs Up beyond the 59/6 I was getting earlier this week.
The modem is still showing 8x4 bonding so this may be an anomaly or a sign that things are starting to finally move..

Has anyone in 92131 tried a SB6183 to see if it gets higher than 100/10 lately? I currently have the SB6141 getting 100/10 and a SB6183 sitting in my closet waiting for the upgrade to 200/20.

So with all the analog channels gone now, it would appear TWC San Diego is finally now starting to enable the 200Mb speed, but not the 300Mb top speed yet?

MAXX 300 is not yet enabled as TWC needs to enable 8 more downstream channels. 200 will also require a 16x4 modem once this is all done.

Zoom has a new Motorola branded modem that works with 16x4 bonding called MB7420 and it is apparently based off the 5370 and you can get it at Amazon for only 90.00. It is on the TWC approval list.

So further heads up, I lost my connection again in the early hours of the morning (around 5am in 92014) - so I reset the modem (SB6183), and now I'm getting 16channels down, but still only 4 up. Certainly seems to be making a difference though;

Arris SB6190 is now on the TWC approved modem list for San Diego and it does 32x8 channel bonding with firmware 9.1.93K. So just another option for TWC as this modem was only able to be provisioned for 100/10, but now can do MAXX 200 and 300! :)

92124 got a speed increase yesterday and now I see 16x4 bonding today on my SB6183.... waiting for more consistent results but my connection is looking better at 75/2 right now at a standard/turbo price. Just wondering why the upload speed hasn't increased.
