TWC has sent out a new version of iGuide to boxes in Los Angeles that includes: caller id on tv, lookback, and startover with menus that are similar to Navigators but are designed to look like iGuide's blue color.

The new version is R29 instead of A28!

the code is 79.41 - R29.0.r-4

it has all of the updates/fixes that the lastest version of A28 has and includes closed captioning in the iGuide setup menu instead of power down the box then fiddle with it.

Also guide is back at 15 days.

Did not know iGuide goes out 15 days. Navigator only goes out 7 days ahead, even on the new black GUI. Navigator has always had CC in the Settings Menu. Don't know when San Diego will get the new Navigator Update.

North Texas got this update wednesday morning. Works great although there are a few bugs with the Startover/lookback features where the clock sometimes goes to GMT time instead of what the current time zone but that is very rare and it is fixed by pressing ok to bring up the mini menu.

Looks like they are using the ITAAS client for the EBIF middleware early reports from Socal were showing the MACG client being used that was developed by TV Works.

The features almost look identical to Navigator in the appearance the only thing they do not have is bookmarking.

Did navigator used to pop up a press select for enhanced with the mini bar was selected or when it became available because iGuide only pops it up when you change the channel or click on the startover icon in the quick menu.

Instead of a channel logo on the startover/lookback enhanced menu there is a white TWC eye logo. In the enhanced menu the only thing in it is startover/lookback and it looks just like navigator except there is no favorites option, quick clips or watch in HD in that menu all that stuff is still like it was before we got the software upgrade.

Caller id on tv is only accessable by going into the main menu and selecting the caller id menu and it brings up a call log unlike the comcast version which only shows who is calling when your phone rings.

The new guide software/firmware versions for DCX3400:
Firmware 24.35
iGuide 79.41
Vod firmware 69.42
ITASclient 24.41
