KPBS Changing UHF Channels Feb 14

FYI I have heard that KPBS will be moving it UHF 19 mid-day Feb 14, 2019. OTA users will need to rescan their TVs after the change.

Well, KSWB will need to vacate channel 19 first. I have heard nothing about that. KSWB is supposed to move to channel 26.

Yes, I hear that KSWB and others are moving that day. Must be a well orchestrated exercise.

Heard where? KPBS and KSWB web sites have no information about this at all. KNSD is moving to channel 17, and have had their channel 17 transmitter up and running with a test pattern for a while now. There is no transmitter broadcasting on channel 26 yet, so if KSWB is moving on February 14th, then they are leaving it to the last minute.

And why are either of these stations moving at all? Their existing broadcast channels are not being reallocated, so there is no need.
